Sausalito Floating Homes Tour

Rich in history, striking in architecture, and full of character — Start your Sausalito tour at the iconic Floating Homes. We recommend booking a private tour through the Sausalito Floating Homes Association, where you can explore the docks and even peek inside a few of the homes for yourself. 

Muir Woods Hiking Trails

Take a break from the hustle and bustle by getting into nature – Muir Woods is a favorite place to slow down and soak it all in. Whether you’re looking for a quick 30-minute hike or an all-day adventure, these trails are a beautiful way to experience the magic of those redwoods.

Mill Valley Library

Stepping into the Mill Valley Library feels like entering a beautifully preserved time capsule. With hand-crafted walnut furniture, original fine art, a crackling wood-burning fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the surrounding redwoods, it’s as much a sanctuary as it is a library — lined, of course, with shelves of books and other materials to explore.

James Perse

James Perse has a chic storefront in Marin Country Mart. This California-based brand is our go-to for basics, known for its effortlessly cool, high-quality essentials that blend comfort with timeless style. We especially love the Slub Jersey Shrunken Tee and Lightweight Linen Wide Leg Pant.

Mill Valley Lumber Yard

The Mill Valley Lumbar Yard has a lil’ something for everyone, from yummy food, to artisanal shops and family-friendly events. The story behind this community hub is even more special – thoughtfully renovated to honor the property’s century-old heritage, while bringing new life to the space for all to enjoy.

Rustic Bakery

Elevating simple recipes, Rustic Bakery is a nostalgic stop for delicious baked goods made from fresh, local ingredients. You can’t make a wrong choice when it comes to this menu, but we especially recommend the Cinnamon Peach Scone and Quiche Florentine.

Franko&Co

Hours: Mon. – Fri. 6:30am-5pm and Sat. – Sun. 7am-5:30pm

A local Sausalito gem, Franko&Co is located in the heart of downtown, offering delicious coffee and baked goods, all within a beautifully designed interior. We recommend ordering the pistachio croissant and the espresso with steamed orange juice (trust us!) 

Equator Coffee
Address: 1201 Bridgeway, Sausalito, CA 94965
Hours: Daily 7:30am-5pm

We’re not usually ones to go for a chain, but Equator Coffees started right here in Marin County back in 1995 — so stopping by one of their local cafés feels necessary! We love their Flat White or Americano annnnd their breakfast burrito is delish.

Hog Island Oyster Co.

Another Shoppe neighbor and Marin Country Mart fave, Hog Island Oyster Co. is a love letter to fresh seafood and coastal charm. Plus, the patio features sweeping views of the bay and the iconic Mt. Tam. Our go-to order is an assortment of oysters to share and a chilled bottle of Sancerre.

Scoma’s of Sausalito

Scoma’s of Sausalito is a waterfront classic — don’t miss the Lazy Cioppino, Lobster Risotto, or Clam Chowder in a sourdough bowl. It’s a local must-stop for elevated, yet laid-back bite – the best fresh seafood with a beautiful view.

Piazza D’Angelo
Address: 22 Miller Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941
Hours: Daily 11:30am-9pm

A Mill Valley staple for rustic Italian fare, Piazza D’Angelo is a must-stop for yummy homemade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, or a spritz on the patio. We especially love the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Burrata with seasonal fruit! 

Watershed Mill Valley
Address: 129 Miller Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941
Hours: Sun. – Thurs. 10:30am-8:30pm, Fri. 11:30am-9pm, and Sat. 10:30am-9pm

In a repurposed lumber yard with views of the creek, Watershed serves up seasonal California cuisine with a wood-fired twist. We recommend the Grilled Local Halibut or the Mushroom Toast. 

Madcap
Address: 198 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Anselmo, CA 94960
Hours: Tues. – Thurs. 5:30pm-8:30pm and Fri. – Sat. 5:30pm-9pm

A bit off the beaten path, Madcap is a cozy, artful spot offering inventive, Japanese-influenced tasting menus. The 11 course experience is a standout, but we also love the bigeye tuna with strawberry boshi – Regardless of what you order, the whole experience feels really special.

Cavallo Point

Cavallo Point offers some of the most breathtaking views in all of Marin County — especially as the sun sets over the Golden Gate Bridge. Highly recommended by #firstnameamberlastnameinteriors, this place also flaunts a stunning interiors.
