Let’s start from the beginning! Tell us a little about your journey that led you to where you are now.
I’ve always had a love for all things interior design, but I never thought I could pursue it as a career. I remember being a child and taking things that were in our home to bring into my room to decorate. When we purchased our first home, I was really able to unleash my creativity and with that came the opportunity to take my passion for design and turn it into something bigger.

Overall, how would you describe your design ethos?
I would say my design ethos focuses on timelessness. I strive for designs that withstand the test of time and do not quickly become outdated.
3
Where do you find inspiration when decorating, specifically for the holiday season?
When decorating for Christmas, I tend to look to the classic old world vibes, rich burgundies, deep greens, earth tones to bring it all together.
4
When decorating your tree, what’s your mantra? Do you lean more towards the sentimental or design-forward side?
When decorating the tree, I tend to keep things more design focused to match the flow of our home. However, I do love to sprinkle in some ornaments that have special meaning to my family. I believe it’s all about balance.

Creating a cozy and festive home without it feeling too cluttered is an art form! Talk to us about a few ways you find that balance.
By removing pieces from the space, I’m able to ensure our home doesn’t feel too busy during the holidays. If we have a faux tree or lots of greenery, I take those out. Less is more!

What are two holiday traditions in your family that you look forward to every year?
Every year, my family takes the time to decorate the tree together. On Christmas Eve, I give my kids new pajamas and we read a book in anticipation of the big day. It really is so magical.

If you had to choose, what are two Shoppe Holiday products that you think everyone should add to their homes this year?
Oh wow that’s a hard one, they’re all so beautiful! If I had to choose, I would pick the Wynn Tree Skirt and the Rustic Bell Garland.
