Our Guide to Holiday Hosting

Here at All Sorts Of, we look forward to cozy season all year long. Our favorite way to enjoy the chilly weather? Gathering with our friends and family to enjoy a warm meal, drink delicious cocktails, or to play some board games at home.

Plus, what better time to share the new Shoppe Amber Interiors holiday collection?! Featuring festive gathering and laidback living essentials, from beautiful dinnerware to seasonal decor, this collection is here to help you get in the spirit and prepare for hosting season.

So without further ado, read on to explore our guide to holiday hosting and shop our winter entertaining essentials!

Help your guests feel at home

Take the time to create and decorate spaces that help your guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Opt for a dense duvet and cozy throw pillows in the guest bedroom. If space allows, nestle a comfy lounge chair in the corner to serve as a mini reading nook. And because the holidays are all about hanging out at home and spending quality time with one another, invest in a plush couch and make sure to keep some extra throw blankets around so nobody gets too cold. The creation of a luxurious lounge environment is the mark of an excellent host!

Decorate for the season

By no surprise, we love getting in the spirit by decorating our homes for the holidays. We like to hang stockings over the fireplace or around the house for a little festive flair. And possibly our favorite part?! The tree, of course! Decorate with ornaments and tinsel for a tree that glimmers under the warm glow emitted from the fireplace or burning candles.

Set a Thoughtful Table

We love to curate themed tablescapes, mixing classic and seasonally-inspired pieces for a well-balanced look. Our recent holiday setting features the Ingrid Tablecloth, Hanna Dinnerware, Cosmo Coups, and Jaela Flatware. To mix up the centerpiece, we nestled taper candles in a bed of moss and pinecones to create a festive, ethereal ambiance that lasts the entire evening.

Make Comfort Food & Festive Drinks

Now that you’ve got the house and table ready, stock your shelves with all the ingredients necessary to make your favorite holiday meals and drinks. Our current fave?! This Holiday Apple Cider Cocktail. Let us know in the comments what you’re cooking this year and stay tuned on the blog this month as we roll out a few more special recipes. In the meantime, check out our recipes of blogs past…
