Recipe: Spiced Hot Apple Cider

What says fall more than apple cider? This simple recipe comes together quickly and we love to enjoy it all cozied up on your sofa or fireside on a cool autumn evening.
Not only does it look amazing, but the aroma of spices and apples makes your home smell absolutely delightful. You can easily craft a mocktail version as well, just hold the bourbon!

Spiced Hot Apple Cider
Prep Time: 5 min
Total Time: 15 min
Serve: 2-4
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups unfiltered apple juice or cider
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp star anise
1/2 tsp allspice
3 oz bourbon
Garnish: 2 cinnamon sticks, apple slices & orange slices
Instruction:
- Pour the juice, cider, spices and cinnamon sticks into a pot. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce to a simmer and let the cider simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to combine – a bit longer is okay too!
- Add the bourbon.
- Pour through a strainer and enjoy in your favorite ceramic mug, while warm.
