We’re all about the holiday spirit, and there’s no better way to welcome the season than…well, literal spirits! Today our friend Karen Emile (aka @milkandhoneylife) is sharing the recipe for her delicious Apple Cider Sangria. It’s fruity, spicy, and just a little bit bubbly, and totally hits the spot when you’re in the mood for a winter cocktail. Not only does it look absolutely gorgeous but it tastes great too. Cheers, and happy holidays!
Apple Cider Sangria
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 7 minutes
Serve: 4
INGREDIENTS:
2 small pears thinly sliced
2 small apples thinly sliced
1 medium lemon cut into wedges
1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
2 cups apple cider
1/2 cup whiskey
1/4 cup brandy
1 1/2 cup prosecco
For garnish: cinnamon sticks, rosemary, thyme sprig and cranberries
Instruction:
Chill your glasses. Begin by adding your sliced fruit, cinnamon sticks, and pomegranate seeds into a pitcher. Add the whiskey and brandy, then pour in the Prosecco. Continue by adding 2 cups of apple cider and then give it a stir. Pour into your glass with ice and garnish with fresh herbs and fruit.
Note: To prepare in advance, combine all ingredients except for the Prosecco and chill in the fridge. Just before serving, add in the Prosecco and stir gently to combine.
