Client Me Myself And I Can’t Make Up My Mind // A Progress Tour, Pt. 3

Here’s a little backstory for you. We started moving into this house just days before I was diagnosed with MS and one week before California went into full shut down quarantine mode. To say the timing of those two major things happening at the same as our move in date is bizarre or fate or however you might spin it… might be true. But one thing I know for sure is that I am just plain thankful to be finally settling into this home with my family and pets, that we spent nearly two years building.

Also to note… I say this is a ‘progress’ tour, because we ARE going to get this home professionally shot once it’s safe to be around other people again!! And there are still quite a few things I need to do around here. But until then, it’s my crappy iPhone pics, which you guys don’t seem to mind one bit! There are still more rooms and nooks I haven’t shared yet, so stick around and that’ll be up next.

So keep on scrollin’ down! I shared all the sources I can below, so have at it!! And if you’re new around here… WELCOME! Don’t forget to check out Progress Tour 1 and Progress Tour 2!

Sending you all big virtual hugs!!! xoxo Amber

  • Maria Thurman

I would love to know where the counter stools are from in Ambers home! And, what fabric is covering them .
Thank you in advance for sharing!

Are the pavers outside of the garage the same ones in the master bathroom? Curious if they are vintage or reclaimed. Love them. Thanks!

  • Donna

I’m wondering about the finish on the custom cabinetry in the living room and bathroom. What wood species? What are they finished with? And do you expect them to darken over time? Just beautiful!

  • Philly Lass

Gorgeous! I’m swooning over the kitchen!!! Amazing! Can’t wait to see that tv room behind the kitchen and the bedrooms!

  • Such a gorgeous home! It is truly a dream come true. I’m curious….where is the fridge? Cheers!

For the Living Room, it’s mentioned that the trim is “Figueroa” in Eggshell, but the rest of the house is “Piano Room”, was that a type or is the living room trim different from the rest of the house?

    Thank you!

  • Donelle

What color is the exterior siding and metal roof? Thank you!

  • Judy

Did you add an adhesive to your gravel for the driveway?

  • Linda Burns

The brick in the kitchen photographs as though it is mother of pearl. How did you get it to look so beautiful? The backsplash also is very beautiful. Where did you get those two items?

  • Amber.. your home is stunning. I also want to express an acknowledgement of your recent diagnosis of MS. Stress is likely not something you need and you’ve been handed a ‘bunch’ all at once. Please take good care of yourself and we will all look forward to your finished shots, professional or not. I’m ‘snagging’ them for my Pinterest page (decOracle) with credits (Farmhouse & Coast) as I have 10,000 followers and I want them all to enjoy your project as much as I have… a new admirer and follower. Thank you for sharing…

  • I love the living room! The wooden chairs look so comfortable with the seat and back covering. The padded arms are a big plus! The Master Bath is awesome.

I’m looking for a similar interior door style. I’ve met with window door places and can’t find what I’m looking for. I’ve looked through a lot of comments and didn’t see anyone ask about them. Could you share your source please? Thank you!

  • I love your kitchen. Especially the Mable Counter and Sink. It looks very nice. I know you are happy to be able to get into your new house. Your home looks so beautiful, and comfortable. It is awesome.
