Five Florals for Spring

Written by Kelsey Walker

Spirea

This beautiful bloom peaks during late spring and into early summer, commonly colored pink, purple, red, or white. With lush green branches and clusters of dainty white flowers, this floral is a bright centerpiece for any dining table or living space. Tip: Make a vertical cut up the stem to allow the stem to get more water and last longer.

Iceland Poppy

Iceland poppies are ethereal flowers that are native to California and bloom best in both spring and summer seasons. These are lightly fragrant, making them a lovely addition to a nightstand or bathroom counter. Tip: The vase life of these florals is naturally on the shorter side, so don’t be afraid to purchase these flowers before they are fully bloomed.

Guava Branches

Featuring big, green leaves with maroon undersides, Guava Branches are dense, understated, and can be easily foraged from your spring garden. Tip: Pruning these branches is best in early Spring to allow your guava plant to heal and grow fruitfully.

Butterfly Ranunculus

Butterfly Ranunculus are dainty and whimsical blooms that thrive from late spring through early summer seasons. We recommend trimming the stems before adding them to your desired vessel full of lukewarm water. Tip: Change out their water every two to three days to prolong vase life.

Viburnum Tinus

This beautiful bloom is one of our favorite to mix into an arrangement due to it’s small flowers, hearty branches, and low-maintenance nature. This floral can be enjoyed year-round and is is delightfully scented. Tip: As featured here, opt for a single species floral arrangement for a natural, efortless look.
