Recipe: Jalapeño Mint Margarita with Karen Emile
It’s the peak of summer, and there’s no better way to beat the heat than with a refreshing cocktail served up in the new Striped Seagrass Collection with Shoppe Ambassador Karen Emile! This one is a kicker – made with fresh lime and jalapeño and then topped with mint leaves for some extra freshness.
This recipe was formulated for one serving in the Striped Seagrass Glassware Small Tumbler, but you can also prepare in bulk and serve straight out of the pitcher for your next summer soiree!

Jalapeño Mint Margarita with Karen Emile
Prep Time: 2 Minutes

INGREDIENTS:
¾ fresh lime juice (about four juicy limes) and extra lime for the rim
Pink salt
1 fresh jalapeño
¼ cup Casamigos Tequila or any white tequila
2-3 tbsp agave (depending on how sweet you like it)
Fresh mint leaves
Ice
Instruction:
1.Grab your pestle and mortar. Throw in a thick slice of jalapeño and 2 fresh mint leaves; muddle that and leave to the side
2. Juice limes and place to the side
3. Grab a shallow plate and pour a layer of pink salt
4. Slice off a small piece of lime and run the wet wedge along the rim of your glass. Dip the top of the glass into the salt at a 45-degree angle and roll it from side to side to catch the salt
5. Add ice cubes to your glass, filling it a little under halfwayLet’s mix

2. Pour your lime juice
3. Throw in your muddled mint and jalapeño
4. Add your agave
5. Give it a good stir
6. Garnish with a couple of slices of jalapeño and mint leafEnjoy!
