Recipe: Calabacito Cocktail

Our ambassador Karen Emile of @milkandhoneylife, shared our new favorite cocktail: the calabacito! A refreshing margarita made with fresh grapefruit juice and topped with a sprig of rosemary, this cocktail is a new team favorite and just the thing to welcome in summer. Whether having a night in with the family or hosting your first dinner party of the season, the calabacito will be your new go-to! Cheers to summer!

Calabacito Cocktail

Prep Time: 2 Minutes
Total Time: 5 Minutes
Serve: 1
INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup Silver Tequila

2 fresh grapefruits

1/3 cup Italian grapefruit soda

1 teaspoon agave

1 fresh lime

Pink Salt

Rosemary sprig or olive leaf

Instruction:
1. Grab your grapefruit slice off one end of it to place in glass for decor (place to the side).
2. Juice your grapefruit and muddle the remains of the fruit and place to the side.
3. Grab a shallow plate and pour a layer of pink salt.
4. Slice off a small piece of lime and the run the wet edge along the rim of your glass. Dip the top of the glass into the salt at a 45 degree angle and roll it from side to side to catch the salt.
5. Add ice cubes to your glass.
6. Pour your tequila
7. Pour your grapefruit juice
8. Pour your Italian grapefruit soda.
9. Squeeze 1/4 of the lime wedge.
10. Agave
11. Add some muddled grapefruit remains and give all that a good stir.
12. Garnish with the slice of grapefruit inside of the glass and your sprigs.
